Description

The Level 3 First Aid course is an excellent course for anyone that is exposed to dangerous and hazardous environments or that are more than a few hours away from their nearest hospital.

This course is also recommended for anyone wishing to become a paramedic.

3Y Certificate Validity

The certificate will remain valid for 3 years after successful completion.

Accredited by the Sector Education and Training Authority.

DOL Accredited

Accredited by the Department of Labour.

Content

During the First Aid Level 3 course attendees will revise the content of First Aid Level 1 and First Aid Level 2 and learn about:

  • Behavioural problems
  • Compression and crush injuries
  • Emergency childbirth
  • Specific fractures
  • Water related emergencies

What You Will Receive

  • Level 3 First Aid Manual
  • Mouth piece, gloves & pouch
  • Level 3 First Aid Certificate (valid for three years)

Requirements

In order to be accepted onto this course, attendees have to meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Basic skill in mathematics.
  • Valid Level 2 First Aid certificate.

In order to pass this course attendees will have to demonstrate their skill in performing:

  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Bandaging
  • Splinting
  • Patient treatment appropriate to First Aid Level 3.

 

Students will also be expected to pass a short theory assessment to demonstrate their understanding of the basic concepts appropriate to First Aid Level 3.
